Élodie spread the large scroll of paper out on the table before her, admiring her sketches, wincing at a few of the awkward ones (she never could draw dancers very well) but, all in all, being rather proud of the designs for the upcoming opera. Dipping a quill into some brown ink she found, she added a few names underneath the drawings to show which character was which, and wrote the name of the opera atop the piece. Some of the costumes were rather... modern... she thought. Some of them used a delicate mesh fabric that Élodie had seen around before, and she hoped that it would be no problem to procure it. Other costumes were vaguely medieval, but also symbolic of the struggles that the characters were going through. After bustling about the room, drawing different bolts of fabric here and there, and making little marks on her list of what needed to be purchased or bought, Élodie sat rather nervously, fiddling with her hands in her lap as if she was ten again, anxiously awaiting her schoolmistress. ((All bases credit to Xandorra, except for Ruby's base, which is mine.))

((They were rather quickly done, but thank you. I sew in real life and would much rather show you my *real* sketches for these. ))

Daniella was on her way to her dorm room when the heard some rustling sounds from a near by room, the hallways where darkend making the slightly open door glow with radience. She peeked around the corner.

Jeanne was curious to meet the seamstress. The previous opera was her first at the Opera Populaire, and she didn't have time to get to know the people who worked the backstage. Now, she was walking down the corridor to the Costume room, practicing her dance steps as she went, when she bumped into someone who was peering around the corner.
"Oh, sorry. Daniella! How are you?" asked Jeanne when she realized she had bumped into Daniella.

((Oooh, they're so good! I love Ruby and Voletta's dresses!)) Alyna walked past the two girls and entered the room, her fittings set for this time. She glanced at the sketches in the seamstress's hands, and said the first thought that came into her head: "It's too long to dance in." She sighed, it must have been a dozen times that she'd insulted someone before she could stop herself. "What I mean is-" the truth was, she wasn't sure what she meant. Her cheeks turned red. "I like the designs," Alyna added truthfully, trying to make up for it, though that made it sound worse.

"Come on, girls! We need to get measurements in so we can start the costumes," Madame Giry said, gently pushing all of the girls into the room. "Elodie, here are your subjects, send them back to practice once they finish." She then turned to Alyna. "Alyna, I have some good news about your locket, practice after your fitting."

Alyna nodded to Madame Giry, still wondering why everyone was calling it a locket. ((XP))

Élodie looked up, blushing, at the dark haired girl's words. "I've never designed anything for a dancer, actually. I was hoping someone would tell me how."
She grinned, grabbing a cloth measuring tape and indicating where the girl was to stand, over by a long mirror, atop a small raised platform.
"You must be..." She checked the cast list, where the list of measurements was to go for each of the main cast members. "Mademoiselle Seliare?"

Mdm. Giry made sure everyone was in the room and patiently waiting, then she went to Elodie. "Elodie, your costumes look great, the girls...they get a bit uptight sometimes, just keep them straight," she whispered with a smile.

"Yes," Alyna answered her, realizing it was her whom Elodie was speaking to. She wasn't used to being called "mademoiselle", and hardly ever used her last name. Alyna's cheeks turned red at Madame Giry's comment.

"I have to say, your designs are lovely," piped Jeanne, still feeling shy.

"Thank you!" Élodie grinned at the little blonde girl. "I gather you are one of the dancers as well?"
She motioned Alyna over to the little platform and began to ready her quill, measuring tape, and paper.
"There are so many things I do not know yet, mademoiselles, about dancing. I do hope that you can suggest some helpful modifications, even up until the premiere. I want you to be able to be comfortable, and to move."
