Madame Giry stood in front and center stage, facing the group gathered before her with her back to the empty seats of the theater. She held a leather envelope in her right hand and a peice of parchment in her left. "Ladies and Gents," she began to silence their converstaions. "The Phantom has sent the score for the Opera in two weeks time.." a rise of excitement over came her, but she silenced them again saying "As well! as who will be playing what parts. I will read aloud the roles: "For the lead ballet duet: Charlotte Wilkins and Meg Giry..." She continued until it came to the minor and lead sopranos. "For the minor soprano lead: La Carlotta and for the Lead Soprano, I would like to congradulation Kristine D'Anton!"

Jeanne smiled and went over to Kristine to congradulate her. Afterwards she walked over the ballerinas to give her best wishes to Charlotte and Meg.

Daniella stood beaming, she watched as everybody showed there excitement and some with disappointment. She was really happy for Charlotte and Meg they had worked very hard, whoever this "phantom" was, he had made a good choice. in the back of her mind she couldn't help but, relish the image of La Carlotta's face when she would or did hear the news...

Daniella was quite right about La Carlotta's reaction. "Minor soprano?!" Carlotta's voice rose octaves. "MINOR?!" She walked up to Kristine, babbled at her in four different languages, glared at her for a few moments, and then stomped off, still mumbling "minor" under her breath and leaving a trail of confusion behind her. -- Alyna couldn't care less about who recieved what part in the opera, just that she would still have enough time to explore the unpopulated areas of the Opera Populaire and the rest of the city. She didn't even bother paying attention when Madame Giry made the announcements; she was fingering the key charm on her necklace and reminiscing about how she had recieved it.

Solange sighed. She hadn't even been given a part. Obviously she wasn't as good a singer as her teachers from the Conservatoire had said. She exited the stage area and went backstage. She had to practice now until her throat was raw and her voice hoarse.

Jeanne watched Solange leave and felt sad for her. She was shocked that Solange didn't get any of the main parts because her singing was beautiful.Making sure no one noticed, Jeanne followed her to see if she needed any comforting.

Alyna turned and watched Jeanne watch Solange. ((Sorry, just had to do that. XD)) Unconciously, she followed the two girls silently to backstage.

Daniella stayed on the stage as most started to go on their ways, as it grew somewhat quiet she thought she could hear...singing? she bopped behind the closed stage curtains.

Roslin had finished congradulating Charlotte and Kristine, but she felt like a nervous wreck inside, not because of missing out of the solo though, but merely because she knew the phantom was real now, not from the letter, but from the encounter. She looked up into the drafters. Was he watching them even now?
