Dear Journal,
It's been three and a half years now. THREE AND A HALF! And still, the man is only paying attention to Christine... what is there to do? Christine is my friend, but... well, I really wanted that part. I've worked really hard, and I know Christine has been, too, but it's just not fair! What does everyone have that I don't? Is it my voice? Do I look funny? Why do they always IGNORE me? Ugh... I will get back here as soon as my anger wears off.
Ok, I'm cooler now. It's just that today, we had a big rehersal. And then Christine tripped over me... and I got the blame, even though I didn't do anything! And then he gave her the best part in our newest play - the part of the queen! Just like last time. All the other girls did extra well, and they were noticed, and I was trying my hardest, I really was, but I didn't get any more than a "humph, the chorus girl..."! It just makes me feel really bad, and I mean REALLY bad. I guess I should feel happy for Christine, but...
Life just isn't fair...

Dear Journal,
Our performance is in just a month! My parents are going to come, and they'll see me! I just can't wait.... They said that if it went well, they would ask if I could get a little break to go with them to go home and see my little sister, Emily! I miss them all... but I first have to do my best. And I mean my BEST, as in better than I ever knew I could do. I'll have to practice for a few extra hours every day, making it a full 10 hours of practice. The rest of the day, I can spend as I wish.
I'm saving up money to buy a few books, such as The Shakespere Collection, and The Proffesional Actors Guide. I wouldn't need to save up to buy them if they didn't make me pay for the electricity my roommate and I used. I'd have been able to pay for the books long ago, but they've strucken me down to my last $200, and I still have to raise for everything else. The package costs $150, and so I would be left with just fifty dollars, not nearly enough to cover any bills I would be given - what I have now won't be enough, either, if there is a single accident within the next week that I am involved in.
I have recently gotten a job as a singing coach in town. My shift is four hours, so when I get home I can go straight to sleep at 9:00 (I get up at about six in the morning and then practice before going to work, and I must sleep at least 7 hours according to dad.) On weekends, I still have to do my work. I might hang out with a few friends, though. It's rare, though, because there will be a very important man who can advertise us and each of the actors get a raise, so we must practice much, much harder... even though I am simply a chorus girl.

(( Oo; whoops... erm, it was another very talented singer named Christine who got the part of queen, and it was Christine's ancestor? Yeah, that's what it is...))

((I'm pretty sure Christine's family lived in Scandinavia, and if Carlotta's alive then it can't be her ancestor))

Dear Journal,
Today a new girl came. Her name is Angie Mason, and she is my new roommate. She is very nice, but something about her is oddly peculiar. She kept staring at me and asking me the craziest questions this morning, and she had barely anything in her suitcase. She wanted to know a lot about me, but when I asked about her, she said that there was nothing about her that would interest me. How weird is that?? I think that someone is watching us, she and I, because she acted like there was someone hiding under my bed with a notepad, writing down every word she was saying, and she was making sure not to let anything slip. Does she know something I don't? And the scary thing is, I fear that I might find out soon, and not in a good way, either.
