Rose had been walking through the passages of the Opera House, when she found herself lost in its winding hallways. She saw a strange light coming from a room and entered it. The room was empty, but beautiful. Two candles lit up a painting on the wall of an angel, which was painted just as well as any in an Italian museum. But there was another light other than the candles. She turned. There was another painting, no a window. A stain glass window. It's colored glass was shaped into a cross. Through the window came the reflection of light bouncing off water. And so Rose became curious and walk over to the window. She found a latch on it and pushed and suddenly the window swung open to and underground river.

She heard something...mysterious coming up the underground river, closing the window and latching it quickly. But somehow, this...thing was unlocking it from the inside. Rose ran out of the room, too surprised and scared to see what...or who is was.

"Stop!" she heard an empty voice call, she turned to see the Phantom standing there, though he seemed real enough he was still like a ghost. He walked up to her holding a large leather envelope. "Deliver this to Madame Giry, Miss Rose Byron...now!" he said as she looked down to grab the evelope. When she looked up again, he was gone.
