Rose sighed. In Alyna's exploration, she had not found the way to Erik's lair. Hopefully, Alyna would leave soon and let Roslin continue.

Alyna tried to open the door, but it was locked. Her hand went to the back of her neck, but there was no clasp to undo. She collapsed on the floor and sat there, staring at the wall. It was too much for her, and she wished that she had never followed Madame Giry into that room.

Rose stood watching Alyna, not sure what to do, but not wanting to approach her. A hand landed on her shoulder and she gasped turning to see Erik, but back quickly to Alyna.

Alyna turned and stared at the Phantom. She had planned what she would say to him, but her words were lost. She tried to show no fear, because she knew that that was what he wanted.

Erik said nothing. "Alyna, please, just go back to your room," then she mouthed the words It'll be okay.

Alyna ignored Roslin. She stood up and held her dagger in plain view by her hip. "Favoritism is not a respectful trait," she told the man.

"I didn't choose to favour Rose. Sometimes I too have to do things that I didn't offer to," Erik replied, but he wasn't implying that he was unhappy that he was compationet to his little sister.

"Oh?" said Alyna, her voice rising. "And how do you find being forced to do something?" She took a step toward the siblings. "What if I took away your most prized possesion?" Her dagger went to Rose's throat. She couldn't think straight. All she wanted was to hurt the Phantom, and she didn't care how.

"Do you really prize the locket, or the one who gave it to you, the one who owned it previously?" he asked. Rose was nervous, she knew that Erik could easily take Alyna down.

"Those questions have no meaning," Alyna said, her dagger moving closer to Roslin's skin. "It is not a locket, and he is long dead."

"Then why do you keep it if it has no meaning, besides the fact that it makes your neck fashionable?"

Alyna laughed heartlessly. "I don't care about my neck. You should care about her's." As she said this, her other hand, unseen, pulled her necklace out of Roslin's pocket and put it in her own.

((thanks for reaching up my skirt, tehe)) "Then you won't mind..." Erik said and quick as lightning pushed Rose to the floor, the dagger give her a scratch on her cheek. He flipped the dagger from Alyna's hand to his own and pushed her to the floor. The necklace dropped and he stepped on it. "...if I keep this until the Opera is over."

((Oops!)) Alyna kicked the Phantom in a fairly uncomfortable spot. She rolled away from him and stood up. "As a matter of fact, I do," she stated as she looked down at him. "I'd appreciate if you gave me back my dagger," she added.

He grabbed the necklace skillfully and slipped it into a pocket in his vest. "I'll give you two choices: Finish the opera and you'll get your necklace back or leave the opera house and never get it back."
