((1860's?? Ummm... woops XD in that case she just used one of those old-fashioned phones))
The performance went on for what seemed like hours. Juliana's parents had left. Soon, it was finally over and Juliana went to her room. After changing into her most comfortable dress she told Alyna to meet her in the Entrance Hall before dinner. Alyna was unable to pick up (she had been practicing or some such thing) so Juliana needed to tell her in person. Juliana waited and waited, with nothing to do better than to listen to herself singing "Dreams Go On". At last, it was 6:35, and she went d0wn to the entrance hall.
((By the way, after this we might go back to the room to finish our conversation))

((I'm really confused. The truth is, it's my choice whether or not Alyna was practicing on 'some such thing'. And, if they existed at all, I doubt there would be a public phone. And if you want to RP in the entrance hall, maybe we should do it there instead of here... I'd rather we kept this RP simple, since it's the first one we're doing together. Just the two of them, in one room, without any plot twists until later. Why don't go back to a few posts ago and pretend Juliana's parents didn't come?))

((Uh, yeah, that's a good idea. *rewind*)) As they continued talking, Juliana stopped. She had nothing left to say, but she stared blankly at the window - something was wrong, but what was it. She shook her head, and started talking again. "So, anyway... what do you suppose we can do right now? You know, other than talk...." Juliana was getting tired of walking and talking, and wished she could do something else. She looked back at the window, and realized what looked wrong. There was a coach nearby, with a young girl that looked no older than 14. And she was looking at them, nervously, as though they had caused something horrible years ago to her. "Who is that? She isn't in the Opera Populaire, is she?"
((I have writers block and so I made a new charactor; she's my roommate now))

((Wanna create her first?)) Alyna squinted out the window, which she reminded herself needed to be closed before nightfall. "She's scrawny, isn't she?"

((As soon as I get a better look at her I will))
"Yeah. She looks a little worried - I wonder if she's going to act here? She looks like I did on my first day - mind, she looks a bit less worried, but just as well... d'you think she might be in this play? I hope she gives a better first impression than I did - one twitch and I'm suddenly the Phantom, so this is how he feels. You think we should help her around?" Juliana was not sure if a new person would be very happy when she would be put into what seemed like acting boot camp. But then again, maybe she wasn't even going to be in the Opera Populaire crew. Maybe she was just visiting. But when she saw the terrified look on the girl's face, it did not look much like she was a guest here... the poor child, thought Juliana.

"I'll probably be busy the rest of the day, but you can if you want to." Alyna really rathered solitude, and helping a new girl was not her ideal choice for an activity during her free time. Besides, it was time she paid another visit to an old friend.

"Well, ok. Maybe I will help her out; wouldn't want another me running around, now, would we? Besides, we'll be seeing a lot of her and she should at least know what she's doing." Juliana felt bad for the girl, but still, she wished that Alyna could come with her to help. She wasn't much of a 'teacher', or anyone who could help prepare others, but it was worth a shot. She started toward the door, but paused. She didn't have anyone else to talk to, and the girl would probably find another person to help. And she wouldn't like me anyway, thought Juliana. "Wait... maybe I will stay here after all," she said quickly.

"Call me down when you make up your mind." Alyna climbed the empty bookcase by the wall and began walking across a rafter like it was a balancing beam.

Juliana couldn't think. She only did have a few friends. It would be nice to help out, and it would be great not to have someone hate you on their first day. But it would be like ditching her only friends, just to make more. And what if the girl didn't like her after all - it would be a waste of time, time she could have spent with Alyna and time she could have used to help Anna with her chores. "I'll stay, it's not like I have anything better to do," she said at last after pondering over the subject for a few minutes. "Besides, she looks like she's getting around pretty all right," she said, though the girl looked anything but all right.

((Anna... dreadful chores... ?)) "Fine, then. You can take all the singing parts, I'll take all the dancing. Let's warm up." Alyna began practicing plies and reneves while maintaining her balance on the makeshift cieling.

(('dreadful' as in, "They are so boring it could put a six year old who ate a gallon of sugar water to sleep"; it was changed, though))
"Do re mi fa so la ti do..." said Juliana, doing it quickly to pass the time, not worrying about any mistakes she may have made. "Ok, I'm warmed up. So, what song should we do? And -" Juliana guickly added, in case Alyna would say the song she wanted to do least - "I am not doing the queen thing I was asigned right now." She thought of songs, and thought, and thought a little longer. At last, she decided upon one song. "How about 'Natural Melody'? I know that one best by heart. It's just a few of the words... 'natural melodies, the sweet sounds of water, the animals and the wind...' it's just so boring. Let's try to improvise with it. You can do whatever you want in your dance, and I'll sing any words as long as they go with the melody of the song, the key notes at the right times." Juliana was very bored, and doing something new was much more fun.

((Anna's the patron's daughter. She doesn't have any chores, dreadful or no.)) "How about we start with a song that's in next week's opera?" Alyna suggested. She hung from a rafter by her feet, then flipped down by grabbing onto the rafter with both hands and letting her feet drop. "How about Caesar Comes?" ((For information on the opera, go here.))

"Sure. I'll just get my papers..." Juliana went to her dorm and started looking through her cabnits. A few minutes later, she returned to Alyna. "Ok, so I'll start as Julius Caesar.
Alexandria, It is so beautiful. How did i not find this place before? The palace I shall visit And see more of Alexandria.
Ok, you can do the next line."

"Oh... well, I'll sing and you dance." Juliana began to sing the song. It was hard to sing the words of someone who one knows nothing about, yet she was doing surprisingly well. But near the middle something stopped her. Her voice lowered, and she was singing off key. She had a strange feeling, the kind of feeling a person gets when they can sense someone is watching them, but who and where it is they had no idea. But, of course, it was simply a figment of her imagination... there couldn't possibly be anyone watching, for everyone was in their dorms. Everyone, of course, except the new girl. But she was still outside, and had she been in the room they would know. She was a bit too tall, and her large ponytails could be spotted from a mile away. No one was there. The stories she had heard had just been getting to her head... or at least, that's what she reassured herself by repeating it in her head tweanty or so times.
