Chante nodded, feeling a bit dazed. "Merci," She called after him as he left. She striaghtened her dress, adjusted her mask, and looked around the room. What beautiful gowns there were! It was all like a beautiful painting.

((haha, sorry I am SO late to this thing computers are EVIL))
Belle looked around the room from a distant corner. the evening was indeed beautiful, although for her, it had been filled with bittersweet memories. she watched as the dancers began a waltz and figered the locket that hung around her neck.

Alyna gestured for Belle to come over, a bit bored from watching the dancers. She hadn't had the chance to get to know her yet, and figured that this was a good time.

"Hello, how are you?" asked Jeanne when she spotted Belle.

Rose felt a bit awkward (sp?) with the silence and finally simply smiled and walked back how to the chairs that lined the dance floor. She looked around for any other friendly faces she might have missed, but saw none.
((I'm gonna make a male patron charrie. BRB))

((Interesting... Is this a bandwagon thing? I'm considering making one now.)) Alyna noticed her mother coming out of the bathroom, looking a bit disgruntled but her hair looked better than it did on the floor. Alyna stepped behind Jeanne, so that she was viewable to everyone but her parent. She missed Rose leaving, paying to much attention to not being noticed. ---- La Carlotta put a hand to her head and looked at the ground, walking toward the non-alchohol drinks. She bumped into Yves on the way, and began to shout at him in words so slurred that they all jumbled together and couldn't be deciphered. Quite a few people turned around and stared. ((Stop going near the refreshment table, Jeanne, and I'll stop picking on you. XP))

Yves quickly left the refreshments table and came back to where Chante was.
-----------------------------
Jeanne made a mental note not to go anywhere near Carlotta.

Carlotta stumbled to the table, picked up a cup of some odd flavored water, and swallowed it in a gulp. She the burped queitly (quite surprising Carlotta, who was half asleep), and before anything else could come out, she ran to the bathroom.

Solange smirked, watching the diva who was getting drunker by the minute. She spotted Jeanne on the other side of the room and walked over to her.

Alyna waved to Solange, waiting until her mother moved away to speak.

"Oh, the music is wonderful, makes me want to dance! Oh, hi Solange." Jeanne had been talking to one of her fellow ballerina's when she saw Solange walk over. "I was just saying how I long for someone to ask me to dance." Jeanne gave a little mischievous smile.

"It seems that all the men here came accompanied," agreed Alyna after her mother had left hearing distance. "Or found someone here."

"Yves seems to have found someone and Philip brought his sister. I don't know anyone else then." Jeannes looked around.
(((I think there should be more male characters, but that's just my opinion  )))

((BTW, my character brought his sister, not cousin))
Philippe walked over to the gaggle of girls, depositing his sister among their ranks.
"Jeanne," he asked nicely, "Would you like to dance?"
((You wanted to dance!))

Solange giggled and winked at Jeanne as the tenor asked her to the ballroom floor.
((Yeah, that's my opinion too, Jeanne. Perhaps I might make a male character as well))
