Jeanne looked up at Zarek, a little shocked. She slowly nodded her head. "I'm fine and she's right. I never go outside, I must look like a ghost. You better go back in and practice." Jeanne leaned against the wall, keeping eye contact with the young painter.

Zarek looked alittle torn between the two places, "That can wait, the opera isn't for a while still." Then he commented on her first words. "The fact that you don't go outside doesn't make you ghostly, I think you have very fair skin, it makes you look very..." He chose his words carefully. "Feminine. Like an angel." He smiled.

Jeanne looked at him and laughed. "An angel? Why thank you." Her cheeks turned a rosy color from pleasant embarrasment.

"Good, a smile!" Zarek joked, "I was starting to think your face was going to get stuck like that." He smiled at her warmily. He took a step closer, which was a bit hard to do, they were already standy fairly close. "You feel better now then?" It wasn't really a question as much as it was a statement.

Jeanne nodded. "Yes, I think I do." She smiled again. "Thank you," she said in a low, hushed voice, still blushing.

"Good." Zarek said staring into her eyes, after a moment of silence, he backed away and cleared his throat. "Well, I better be going i have some...things to do." He bowed to her and started to walk away.

"Oh," Jeanne said, looking a little sad. She had hoped that she would finally be able to talk to Zarek. Everytime she had tried, he was always occupied, or other girls were around, flirting.

Zarek was a forth of the way down the hall when he stopped, he hesitated a bit and then turned. "Jeanne," he said.

"I.." he stood where he was, "I don't.." he sighed heavily, then he walked very fast towards her, grabbed her arms and kissed her. When he pulled away he stared into her eyes looking for some sign of permission. Something to tell him that what he did was okay.

Jeanne looked up at him a bit shocked. It took her a minute to let what just happened sink into her brain. Once it did, the look of shock turned into a look of happiness. "Oh," she breathed, smiling a bit.

((*puts head in hands* I know..it was going to happen anyways!))
The kiss was long and passinote, Zarek closed his eyes to take it all in. when it ended again, he looked at the girl in his arms, the girl he had been wanting to let know of his feelings for so seemingly so long, and a warm smile crossed his lips. "Oh." He breathed.

Jeanne laughed. She was still a little shocked that she was here, kissing the painter turned opera singer. Jeanne leaned against the wall and looked up at Zarek. "I am a little confused. I thought you didn't, well, I thought you didn't even know me!"
(((and romance is fun to write!)))
