Chase sat in his father's office in their apartment. Though his father was away on business, Chase kept up with things, which included an appointment with one of the ballerinas, Alyna. The door opened and a maid introduced her.

Alyna stepped in quietly, nodding to the maid as she closed the door. She wasn't used to business and felt a bit odd sitting down, though she thought it would seem strange if she didn't. They hadn't really been introduced yet, and the first time she had seen him had only been at the recent masquerade ball. "Master Molyneux. I hope you don't mind me getting straight to the point. I'm not one for small talk."

"Good, I have other business to attend to so getting to the point sounds only rational," Chase said seriously, he wasn't one to play around with business.

"You, of course, know about the opera ghost, and that we've been performing his operas these past few. I'm certain that he will be at this coming performance to see his creation, just as he was last time, in plain view if one were to look up." Alyna paused, collecting her thoughts. "Do you understand where I'm going with this, Master Molyneux?"

"Not at all," Chase said, slightly lying. "Do you have a problem with him?"

"Considering he has murdered a few people, and stolen things from the opera staff, yes," Alyna answered, detecting something in Chase's voice. "And don't say he's helping the opera house along, because I'm sick of that lie. If we can arrest him at the coming opera, we will all breathe a sigh of relief."

"I'm not interested in being cursed if he is a ghost as you seemingly suggested," Chase laughed, then got serious again. "As far as I'm personally concerned, I think that his operas are the only thing keeping that opera together, and a little bit of threat can't hurt. It sure adds amusement...for some." Chase didn't care the least bit about the murder issue, to him it was more like a game of chess than a real crime. But he did wonder why this ballerina so desperately wanted him gone, so he asked. "Miss Ballerina, why are you so desperate to have him...disposed of?"

"If you're asking about my personal experiences; I don't think they're of the moment. There are others in this opera house who want him gone as much as I do. If you consider death an amusement, Sir, then you are a twisted person and have probably never known it." Alyna shook the feeling of a conspiracy out of her mind. Chase just wanted to keep the opera house running, though in a disgusting manner.

"No personal experience? I hardly believe that those members who find him offensive would send a ballerina in their stand rather then Madame Giry or coming themselves. I will discuss it with my father but I promise nothing at all," Chase said, laughing to himself at what he had said.

"Do you think that Madame Giry or anyone else would come, knowing that the news would obviously reach Eri- I mean, the phantom?" Alyna sighed and closed her eyes for a moment. "It is not my place to tell you the injustices he has been doing on other girls. I am sorry that I can't bring you any proof right now, but if I recieve permission from his prey then I will be sure to tell you. No good will come from this man, mark my words."

"They are marked," Chase said. "But until you have solid proof, and my father finds that it is okay to make a big deal with the press about this whole matter, I won't be doing anything at this time besides closely observing."

Alyna almost said, "What have you been doing until now?" but stopped herself. "Then I'll make no difference speaking to you," she replied coldly. "Good day, Master Chase." She stood up and walked out, startling the maid standing behind the door.

Chase was glad she had left, she seemed like she thought she was higher in intelligence, stature and...other things, and he didn't like that.
