Meg walked on to the stage. no-one was around. She began to dance. She went through a series of complex dance steps and leaped over a stage prop, praying it didn't tumble over.she picked up a peice of fabric and danced with it. Thinking she herd footsteps she immeiditly picked up a book and pretend to read.

Her mother walked slowly onto the stage, for the footsteps were hers. "Careful there, my daughter" she said. It was almost a rebuking word, yet also one of confidence. "I would have a hard time getting these made again. Our production is this week."
Note: If someone else wants to jump in, go ahead.

"Oh" Meg mumbled "i didn't think anyone was watching" there was an awkward silence. Meg hated it when she was caught dancing for habit, she felt she wouldn't be up to par.

"Ofcourse not. It is only the stage," Madame Giry said with a smile. "Come, daughter. Show me what you have practice for the duet ballet in the performance."

"oh nothing much" Meg receited the dance moves she had planned carefully leaping so as not to knock anyhting over her blonde hair flowing behind her. At the last leap she slipped a bit but quickly regained balance

"Ex..excuse me?" Charlotte asked, biting her lip and walking carefully onto the stage. "I don't know where to go, I'm a ballerina, apprently..." She said, confused. She had just come and was not quite sure of where to go or what to do.
She watched Meg's simple gracewith awe, hoping she herself would someday be so graceful.

"ARe you hear for the duet ?" Meg asked kindly. Charlotte looked around her age and she had been feeling lonely these last few days.

Charlotte nodded brightly. "Yes! That's me. I'm so glad I found the right place..."
The girl looked nice enough. "My name is Charlotte. What's yours?"

Charlotte grinned and clasped her hands in front of her chest.
"Pleased to meet you, Meg. So...I don't really know the duet yet. I've just arrived. I relaize I'll have to learn fast, but I am a quick learner, and I'll just need some help..."

"Girls, we need to practice. I've recieved the music," Madame Giry said walking in, holding a stack of paper. A pianist musician was right behind her. "Now, from the beginning bes tyou can girls. We must have this dance airtight by the time of the performance." She waited for the girls to get into their potitions and nodded for the pianist to start playing.

Charlotte, now very nervous, glanced over at Meg and took the position she had, hoping it was right. She was a fast learner, but she couldn't just pull a dance out of thin air...
I swear I will work on this dance until it's perfect, until my toes bleed and I can no longer hear the music. She told herself firmly. If she messed up her first performance, she would probably be kicked out.

Philippe stood on the side of the stage watching the girls practice. They were very good. The blonde girl certainly knew the moves better, but the girl with the light brown hair was trying her hardest.
"Bravi!" he called out as the music stopped.
((I think bravi is right for a female... could someone let me know? My Italian isn't too crash hot.))

((Well, the Phantom says "Bravi, bravi, bravissima" when he's whispering to Christine, so I assume that's right.))
Charlotte was intent on the movements of the dance and stumbled a bit when the man called out. She shot a quick glance at him, devoid of judgement, and went back to her dance, trying to make up for her stumble with a section of flawless movement.
She failed, missing a step a moment later, for she was still thinking about the man on the side of the stage, watching them.
If I can't dance with one person watching me, I won't be able to dance with a crowd watching. So get used to it. she told herself firmly, getting back into the music.
