((This takes place after the Masquerade also, but before Roslin's adventure. Hope you don't mind me doing this, Madame Giry.)) Alyna was early, leaning on the back wall of the stage. This was one of the first practices for Le Soufre Consigne, so the no one was truly prepared. The orchestra didn't know the notes, the chorus didn't know the words, and the ballerinas didn't know their moves. All in all, this was preparation for a real practice. Alyna stood up and went over to a beam set on stage for the ballerinas to stretch on, and began to do so.

Chante stood in the back with the other Chrosu members, looking over her music. Apt at sightreading, she could work out a bit of a tune, but it would definitely not be perfect. She hummed to herself experimentally, tossing her head to get a lock of hair out of her face.

((If it's before...in my post it said that they weren't given the music yet. Roslin copied hers from the music she got from Erik before it was given to the Pianist so...))

((That's why I put "The orchestra didn't know the tune". I'll make it more clear by changing "tune" to "notes". And you didn't say that they weren't given the notes, you said "the pianist hadn't learned the music yet". I took "learned" to mean that it was given but not studied.))

((Oh, so sorry. I meant that, but the chorus girls aren't given the music yet, ah! So confusing))

((Oh... It makes me feel better when I know it's someone else's fault. XD Just kidding, Chante... Okay, let's get on with the RPing.))

Yves arrived early, yet had found himself asleep in one of the opera chairs.
---------------------
Jeanne wore her practice outfit and was practicing her basic moves in a corner. She felt limber and light, and hopefuly looked graceful that day. Her hair hung loose around her, though she would have to put it up soon to practice, and she was blind and deaf to the world around her.

Finishing her stretches, Alyna took out a green ribbon that had been in her pocket and tied her dark hair back into a messy bun with it. She rolled her sleeves up and autimatically began the last opera's dance, which including many basic moves she would probably need this time around.

Yves walked over and strutted over to the chorus girls. He saw Chante and decided to go up and talk to her. When he got closer, he could hear her singing, and stopped, stood, and just watched and listened.

Solange took a deep breath and warmed up her voice, working her way up to the top in thirds before coming back down again. She was very excited about the opera.

While she danced, Alyna watched the other girls prepare. She chose the sleeping Yves as her spot ((what you stare at while you spin during ballet so you don't get dizzy)), and when he stood up and started moving she gave up on him and looked at a violinist instead. Alyna wondered where Madame Giry was; everyone else was here already.

Chante shook her head, frustrated, and looked up. She spotted Yves and cleared her throat self-conciously. "Is...is there something you need?" She asked. "We don't really know the music..." She trailed off.
She had probably been foolish to expect anything more than polite courtesy after the Masquerade. He had probably come to tell her that he had meant nothing by dancing with her, and was now leaving to go meet with his fiancee or something like that.

"Oh, I was just admiring your voice. You sing well. Scratch that, you sing beautifully." Yves smiled and walked a bit closer. "I'm looking forward to this opera, I haven't been the lead before," he stopped realizing he was only talking about himself.

Solange thingyed her head slightly as she watched the exchange between Yves and Chante. They were a cute couple, she decided.

Chante blushed, but smiled in spite of herself. "Thank you. I can't wait to see you as the lead," She added, then decided that that sounded strange and corrected herself. "You'll make a great lead," She added, then decided to stop talking altogether. "I'm looking forward to it, too." She finished lamely.
