Yves laughed at how cute Chante sounded. "Well," he started slightly nervously, "I should probably start practicing myself. I hope this opera is the best for you." Yves started to walk away.

Rose went up to Solange. "Congratulations, Solange, on getting the part of Voletta. I'm sure you'll do good, even though the music...appears to be difficult for the orchestra," Roslin said to her, catching herself before she let Solange know she had a copy of the music. "I only wonder what they are going to do about your blonde hair. Let's hope Eri..The Phantom doesn't' want it died black." Roslin was really slipping up. This whole business about Erik being her brother...it make her mind foggy. --------------- Chase walked in and sat in the front row of seats. He had some time to spare, so he might as well watch all of the mess-ups that would occur that first practice.

Jeanne stopped dancing and walked over to the front of the stage and sat down to watch everyone.

Carlotta came in, looking around for a servant to give her the lines for the lead. She was, of course, recieving the best part. She didn't know what the opera was about, and couldn't concentrate on anything well because of her throbbing head. ((She's not sick, it's hangover.)) ------ Alyna stopped to rest. She sat down next to Jeanne and closed her eyes, listening to the chorus practice scales. Music was beautiful, but Alyna felt better joining in with it rather than creating it.

"Hi Alyna, how are you?" asked Jeanne. She yawned and put her hand to her forehead.

"I'm okay," answered Alyna, opening her eyes and sitting up. "It probably wasn't a good idea to be up so late at the Masquerade last night. I hope I -or you, judging by the sound of that yawn- don't fall asleep while we're dancing."

Jeanne laughed. "That would be a disaster. Ballerina's running into each other," Jeanne paused. "On the other hand, I think the singers would make great pillows if we fall into them," she said with a smile that could top the devil's.

Solange grimaced. "I really hope I don't have to dye my hair," she said, "Imagine trying to get black out of my hair! Maybe I'll be allowed to have a wig?" she mentioned to Rose thoughtfully.
-----
Armand walked in casually, knowing that the first rehearsal for the Opera was going ahead today. He wanted to watch the practices so that he knew what he had to do for the opera's that would come afterwards. And there was also the matter of sussing out the competition.
Armand let his eyes wander around the room, watching the blonde and brunette who were dressed as dancers talk, and the other blonde and redhead who were also talking. They were dressed in daydresses, making Armand think that they were most likely singers. Then there was the man and the woman who looked as though they were flirting with one another. But Armand's attention was drawn back to the redhead. She was very pretty.

"That would be much better," Rose replied with a smile as she spotted Armand and then Chase. "Isn't that that young, rich man you were dacning with last night?" Roslin inquired nodding towards Chase and then turning to see Solange's reaction.

Chante laughed. "It is my first, after all. Let's hope they're all good." She called after Yves as he walked away, regaining some of her confidence. She was excited...

Alyna laughed as well. "Certainly," she agreed, "but let's hope we don't land on the musicians. I'd rather not have any splinters." She looked around at the large amount of people that were there already. Alyna stood up. "Does anyone have a script?" she called, addressing the entire room. "We should start practicing soon."

"Alyna!" Madame Giry called come the other side of the stage with her strong accent. "Come, we must start you're practicing," she said taking Alyna's arm to lead her to a more private room. "Roslin, you must come too. It is requested and your services will be needed," she called. She was to have no funny business. ------------ Rose turned at the sound of her name being called. "I'll let you ogle. It appears I am wanted," she said to Solange.

Alyna waved goobbye to Jeanne. "I guess you're right, she probably does," she said as she stood up and followed Madame Giry and Rose. She began to wonder about the opera and hoped her costume wouldn't be as uncomfortable as last time. Maybe they make them better for leads, she thought, but doubted it. ---- Carlotta slumped down into a seat and sighed. She didn't like waiting to find out her part, but there was time left yet for them to announce it.
