Alyna laughed. "I'll give you a footrest for your ankles." She ripped a piece of bread off of the remaining roll and ate it.

Jeanne laughed. "Why thank you. Perhaps I will marry a carpenter who could make me wooden feet. That would be nice."

"I think I'll cut my feet off, too," Alyna pondered. "That way I won't have to dance any more, and no one can force me to."

"Is someone forcing you to dance? I thought all of us weren't forced to do what we do, just chose because it was better than the other choices."

"If I didn't dance, what do you think Madame Giry would do?" Joked Alyna.

"Oh, I don't know. Not feed you?" Jeanne laughed.

Alyna laughed also. "Not to mention not pay me." She yawned.

"Oh, well, that alone would make me dance nonstop, as long as I get paid."

Chante stepped into the room and then noticed the girls talking. "Oh, I'm sorry! Alyna said she was going up to bed, and I didn't..." She trailed off, gave a yawn, and then threw a glance over her shoulder at the door. "Excuse me," She said quietly, and stepped out again into the hall.
"Thank you for a wonderful evening, Yves," She said, feeling somewhat awkward.

"Your welcome," Yves said, stepping slightly closer, but not too close to scare Chante., but close enough to show her what he was willing to do. (((gosh, I'm so mushy )))

((Aww...it's too bad Chante's such a wimp! I tell ya, if it was me and some cute french guy...Of course, it's possible you could change her mind...)) Chante flicked a glance over her shoulder, all too concious of the girls inside the room, probably giggling like fools. She bit her lip and decided to take the cowardly route, for the time being. "Erm...yes. Thank you. Uh..." She couldn't decide what to say, and looked up at Yves, blushing. It was true, being around him stole words from her mouth.

(((I go to school with french guys, ooh la la ;D )))
Yves nodded and instead kissed Chante's cheek. "Thank you for dancing with me, and I'm glad you had fun. Good night." Yves walked away.
-------------------------
Inside the room, Jeanne was giggling. "Ooh, have fun with Yves?" asked Jeanne with a giggle and a wink.

Chante, dissappointed in herself, called 'Goodnight-" After him. Half of her was bursting with joy as she raised one hand to her cheek, the other half hated herself for being such a coward.
She stood for a moment by the door, lost in thought, and then let one half of her mind win and entered the room again, smiling softly, one hand still on her face.
"Yes," She replied to Jeanne defiantly, still smiling.
