((I guess we're back from intermission )) Erik did not take his place in Box 5, he rarely did. It was merely another way to control the patrons. He instead settled in balcony that surrounded the chandellier.

As the orchestra began to play, the ballerinas again came out, each holding a piece of white, lacy cloth. They did a short dance around the stage, and then stopped and waited for the two lead singers to come out. The two leading ballerinas, their clothing distinguishing them from the rest, made there way on to two of the four platforms set up on the stage.

Philippe lifted his head, singing his heart out as though to the heavens. Other than the unfortunate event with La Carlotta backstage, the night had been a raving success. His happiness showed through in the joyful song he sang, giving his best performance ever.

Alyna looked around her. Where was Carlotta? It looked silly for all but one platform to be filled...

Daniella knew that one of Carlotta's part was coming up soon, and she worried slightly about how it would be covered. last she knew, the diva had still bee unconscious, her stage hands pleading with an almost lifeless corpse. But, there was nothing Daniella could do, the best she could hope for was that evevryone that was on stage would do they're best, Madame Giry would fix it wouldn't she?

Madame Giry grabbed Charlotte's arm. "Ballerina! You must go out now! You are to go onto the stage in less than a minute," and pointed the way to the stage wing where Meg was. She would not allow a fiasco. Now about Carlotta. ---------- Erik whispered into the empty room, but it sounded like a booming noise. He dropped a noose above La Carlotta's head. He wasn't going to kill her, just frighten her a bit when she arose a few second later.

Carlotta's eyes flickered open. She looked up saw a rope, tried to remember what it was called, and sat there in a daze. She coughed up some blood that had fallen into her mouth, then remembered what had happened. She looked in the mirror and screamed. She looked up at the noose again and screamed again, loud enough for the entire opera house to hear. She drifted back into her unwanted slumber.

Lynette in the pit with the rest of the orchestra turned as if her head was on a rope the second she heard the blood curdling scream. Everyone in the orchestra pit stopped playing, everyone on stage stopped dancing and singing and everyone in the audience went deathly still and silent. Lynette's heart started pounding loudly enough she was afriad everyone could hear it.

Solange was backstage and, hearing the scream, rushed in the direction of the sound.
"Merde," she whispered as she saw Carlotta's unconscious form. "My God, she's supposed to be on right about now!"
Solange grabbed a cloth and dipped it into the jug of water on the other side of the room. She rushed back to the fallen diva and cleaned some of the blood from her face. Rushing back over to the jug, she wrung the cloth out again.
Solange lay the cloth on Carlotta's head, hoping the coolness would rouse her.
It was at that moment that she saw the noose dangling above Carlotta's head. Her eyes widened as she tore it down. Someone must have been trying to kill the poor woman! Even if she wasn't a likable person, it still wasn't an offence that should be punished by death!

Madame GIry rushed in and poured a jar of salts onto Carlotta's face to wake her. "Stop with these games! You're going to ruin your own opera!" she said, but not to La Carlotta, to the emptiness, to Erik. "Wake up soon Carlotta, must I use an intern!" Those threatening words were sure to arose the soprano quicker.

with the hole opera house in alarm, and the production come to a halt, the Patrons jumped out of their sets and assured their guests there was nothing to worry about. As the audience began to calm down Daniella started dancing again hoping that the others would follow suit. She was not looking forward to the scolding that was sure to come to all of them after this was over.

((Oh God! Totally missed this. >.<))
Charlotte dashed through the door to the backstage area. She was sturggling to get the right sleeve of her outfit on, and finally succeeded. Out of breath, she looked around for Meg.
She realized they were on stage, and took a deep breath, then performed what she hoped was a gracefu llooking sprint out onto th stage and took her place.
She would never be chosen as Lead Ballerina again! She felt a tear slip out of her eyes and shook her head imperceptibly, clearing it. Now was the time to focus on the Opera, not her personal troubles. She had missed enough already.
Wait - where was Carlotta? Charlotte looked around nervously. The show must go on - surely Madame Giry would take care of it, but she trembled nonetheless.

Madame Giry would give Carlotta 3 minutes (3 posts) to come back. If not, adjustments would be made.
